God Always Does What He Promises
God Always Does What He Promises
God is faithful to His word and always fulfills His promises. Throughout Scripture, we see that God’s character is trustworthy. What God says, He does. Whether it’s a promise of provision, protection, or salvation, God’s timing and methods may sometimes be beyond human understanding, but His faithfulness is unwavering.
From the covenant with Abraham to the fulfillment of the prophecies in Jesus Christ, God consistently proves that He keeps His word. God’s word and promises provide hope and assurance, reminding believers that they can trust Him. No matter the circumstances, because God never fails to deliver on what He has spoken.
God Always Does What He Says and Promises
Do you know God well enough that you know for certain that He will always do what He has told you or promised you ? God needs to teach us about His perfect character and about His perfect faithfulness. One of the best lessons that He teaches us is to know that He will always do whatever He has said or promised.
God’s Character & Perfect Faithfulness
This is His nature, to keep His promises. He cannot do otherwise. He does not lie or make promises He does not keep. And God is always the same and will never change. God will always keep His word.
God’s word is His bond. It means a great deal to God to keep His word. For God it is all about character. And He wants us to have the same honorable character and faithfulness that He has. God wants to mold and shape us so that our word and our promises mean something.
God Always Does What He Says
God Always Does What He Promises
Keeping His word and His promises is a big deal to God. It is a reflection of who He is and His character. When you sense that God is telling you something, or leading you in a certain way, you can be sure that He will do what He says. Or that He will give or provide what He promises.
God reveals His perfect character in various ways in His word. There are verses that reveal His character, such as these:
Isaiah 14:24 – “The Lord Almighty has sworn: Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will stand.”
Isaiah 46:11 – “What I have said that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do.”
God’s Promises Are His Guarantees
Numbers 23:19 is another great verse. In it God reveals His perfect faithfulness. “God is not a man, that he should lie; nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act ? Does he promise and not fulfill ?”
These verses are telling you that God always does what He promises. And that whatever God says He will do – it is guaranteed to happen. And whatever God has promised you – it is guaranteed, because of God’s perfect character. God’s promises are His guarantees. What an awesome God we serve !
In Part 2 of God Always Does What He Promises we will continue to look into God’s perfect character and His perfect faithfulness.
