Powerful Prayer And A Fruitful Victorious Life

Powerful Prayer & A Fruitful Victorious Life

If you are looking to experience powerful prayers and a fruitful victorious life, then it is always a good idea to study Jesus’ life here on earth. Jesus had very dynamic and powerful prayers, and a fruitful victorious life. So much so that his disciples and followers noticed right away that Jesus’ prayers produced great results. And they came to Jesus and asked Him to teach them to pray.

“It happened that while Jesus was praying in a certain place, after He had finished, one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray just as John also taught his disciples.”  – Luke 11:1

Powerful Prayer & A Victorious Life

Jesus Had Powerful Prayers & A Fruitful And Fruitful & Victorious Life

Jesus’ response to his disciples request was to teach them how He prayed. His powerful prayers and victorious life were a reflection of His heart and His desire to please His Father. And a reflection of the type of personal relationship and fellowship that Jesus had with God.

“And He said to them, “When you pray, say: “Father, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. ‘Give us each day our daily bread.  “And forgive us our sins, For we ourselves also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation.”

Follow Jesus’ Example To Have Powerful Prayers & A Fruitful & Victorious Life

Some of the keys to powerful prayer and a fruitful victorious life are revealed in the verses that follow. Jesus’ life here on earth was a great example for us to follow. A Christian’s prayer life will be powerful and his/her life will be fruitful and victorious when the personal relationship and fellowship with the Lord is similar to Jesus’ relationship with God. Jesus’ life and His relationship with God was marked with reverent submission and obedience. He also had a humble servant’s heart. And Jesus had a great love and passion and devotion for God.

The following verses capture Jesus’ heart attitude towards His Father, and it resulted in Him having a very powerful prayer life and ministry.

“During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.” – Hebrews 5:7

“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but your will be done.” – Luke 22:42

“Prayer is designed more to adjust you to God, than to adjust God to you and your desires.”

Close Fellowship With God Is The Key To Powerful Prayer & A Fruitful Victorious Life

Jesus was fully committed to seeking and doing God’s will above His own. And to honoring and glorifying God and not Himself. Whenever Jesus needed to accomplish something, He prayed and sought God’s will and wisdom. Sometimes He prayed all night (see Luke 6:12-13). And because of His close and unbroken fellowship with God and His reverent submission, He was always heard by the Father. May we have such relationships and fellowship with the Lord.
