God’s Promises In The Bible Part 2

There are thousands of God’s promises in the Bible. The vast majority of God’s promises are for God’s children, those who have a restored relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

In Part 1 of God’s Promises In The Bible there is some Biblical information about God’s promises, and a list of many of God’s promises. In Part 2 we will continue the list with many more of God’s promises in the Bible.

7. WHEN YOU NEED SECURITY

PSALM 32:7 “You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.”

PSALM 23 “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. God leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed my head with oil. My cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

PROVERBS 10:9 “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.”

” God is our refuge and strength, and ever present help in trouble.” – PSALM 46:1

” The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.” – PSALM 34:7

8. WHEN YOU ARE LONELY

“I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU.” – HEBREWS 13:5

“AND SURELY I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS.” – MATTHEW 28:20

” I WILL FEAR NO EVIL, FOR YOU ARE WITH ME.” – PSALM 23:4

“I AM WITH YOU AND WILL WATCH OVER YOU WHEREVER YOU GO…”

PSALM 139:7-12

9. WHEN YOU NEED COMFORT

“ PRAISE BE TO THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, THE FATHER OF COMPASSION AND THE GOD OF COMFORT, WHO COMFORTS US IN ALL OUR TROUBLES, SO THAT WE CAN COMFORT THOSE IN ANY TROUBLE WITH THE COMFORT WE OURSELVES HAVE RECEIVED FROM GOD.” – 2 CORINTHIANS 1:3-4

10. WHEN YOU ARE DISCOURAGED OR FEELING DEFEATED

“ THE LORD HIMSELF GOES BEFORE YOU AND WILL BE WITH YOU; HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU. DO NOT BE AFRAID; DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED.” – DEUTERONOMY 31:8

“ THANKS BE TO GOD, WHO ALWAYS LEADS US IN TRIUMPHANT PROCESSION (VICTORY) IN CHRIST” – 2 CORINTHIANS 2:14

“VICTORY RESTS WITH THE LORD.” – PROVERBS 21:31

11. WHEN YOU NEED REST

“FIND REST, O MY SOUL, IN GOD ALONE; MY HOPE COMES FROM HIM.” – PSALM 62:5

“COME TO ME, ALL WHO ARE WEARY & BURDENED, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST.” – MATTHEW 11:28-30

Faith is vitally important for walking closely with God and pleasing Him. When we pray and ask God to help us or supply our needs, we need to have faith and believe that He wants to help us and that He will. We need to have “believing prayer”:

BELIEVING PRAYER IS THE TRANSFER OF GOD’S PROMISES IN THE BIBLE INTO YOUR PROBLEM OR CIRCUMSTANCES

GO TO GOD AND HIS WORD WITH YOUR PROBLEM, NEED, OR TROUBLES.

PERSONALIZE GOD’S WORD TO FIT YOUR SITUATION. (WITHOUT CHANGING THE MEANING OF THE VERSE)

READ GOD’S WORD ALOUD AND PLACE YOUR NAME IN THE PROMISE(S) THAT FIT YOUR NEED OR SITUATION.

ALL VERSES AND PROMISES IN THE BIBLE LEAD YOU TO GOD, AND TO A PERSONAL LOVE RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.

MORE THAN ANYTHING GOD DESIRES FIRST FOR YOU TO HAVE A RESTORED PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM. THEN YOU CAN HAVE CLOSE INTIMATE FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM, ONENESS & UNITY WITH HIM, AND A PARTNERSHIP WITH GOD IN HIS KINGDOM WORK & MISSION.
